A $30 wager delivered a $1,247,834.01 payout on Caesars Palace Online Casino in New Jersey on January 18, 2026, marking the largest online jackpot ever awarded across Caesars' online casino brands.
Key takeaways
- A Caesars Rewards member turned a $30 spin into $1,247,834.01 on IGT PlayDigital's MegaJackpots Cash Eruption.
- It is the biggest online jackpot in the history of Caesars' iGaming brands, roughly double the $603,667.06 hit that set the company record in September 2025.
- The same title paid out more than $1.1 million in two jackpots inside a week in September 2025.
- New Jersey's online casinos generated a record $2.91 billion in 2025, overtaking Atlantic City's land-based casino floors for the first time.
- Caesars Digital more than doubled its adjusted EBITDA to $236 million in 2025.
A seven-figure spin for a Caesars Rewards member
Caesars Entertainment said the win was recorded by a Caesars Rewards member playing IGT PlayDigital's MegaJackpots Cash Eruption. "I was so excited, I couldn't believe it," the Caesars Rewards member said. "I plan to take care of my family."
Caesars made the result public on January 27, nine days after the jackpot dropped. The winner chose to stay anonymous, so the operator identified the player only as a member of its Caesars Rewards loyalty programme. The stake behind the prize was $30 per spin, meaning the payout was worth more than 41,000 times the wager.
Cash Eruption keeps rewriting the record book
The latest payout follows multiple wide-area progressive jackpots generated by the same title on Caesars' online casino platforms. In September 2025, MegaJackpots Cash Eruption awarded more than $1.1 million through two jackpots won within a seven-day period.
On September 18, 2025, a player claimed $603,667.06 from a $15 bet on Caesars Palace Online Casino in Michigan. Six days later, on September 24, another player in the same state won $527,710.07 from a $0.60 bet on the same game and platform.
That September 18 hit was itself billed as a company milestone at the time. It edged past the previous Caesars online high of $588,288.17, which had landed in April 2025 on IGT PlayDigital's MegaJackpots Wolf Run at Horseshoe Online Casino in Michigan. In less than a year, then, the ceiling for a single online payout across Caesars' brands has more than doubled, and both records set since that Wolf Run hit have come from Cash Eruption. Sunderland said at the time that paying out more than $1 million in a single week was "a testament to the momentum behind Caesars Palace Online Casino."
"MegaJackpots Cash Eruption continues to deliver memorable moments for our players on Caesars Palace Online Casino," said Matthew Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital. "When a favorite title reaches milestones like this, it reinforces why we focus on a seamless experience and engaging content that resonates with our players."
The game and the supplier behind it
MegaJackpots Cash Eruption is part of IGT PlayDigital's progressive slot series, which features prize pools accumulated across multiple states.
The slot runs on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 20 paylines. Its look pairs traditional fruit-machine symbols such as sevens, cherries, watermelons and bells with a volcano backdrop and an Egyptian fire goddess character. Progressive jackpots of this kind are a major draw across U.S. iGaming: BetMGM alone said its players won more than $122 million in online progressive jackpots during 2025, with Michigan accounting for $42.6 million of that total.
"MegaJackpots Cash Eruption continues its reign as one of the most widely enjoyed games in the IGT PlayDigital content portfolio, and a $1.2 million jackpot payout can even further boost the game's popularity with players."
— Gil Rotem, CEO Digital, IGT
The supplier itself changed hands in 2025. On July 1, 2025, funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management completed an all-cash deal valued at about $6.3 billion to buy International Game Technology PLC's Gaming & Digital business together with Everi Holdings. The combined, privately held company kept the IGT name, is headquartered in Las Vegas and is organised into Gaming, Digital and FinTech units, while the seller, International Game Technology PLC, does business as Brightstar Lottery.
How the jackpot compares in New Jersey
Large as it is for Caesars, the prize is not the biggest online slot win New Jersey has seen. BetMGM reported a $6.4 million progressive hit on a Fruit Blaster game in August 2024, which still stood as the state's online record when Caesars announced its win. In June 2023, DraftKings paid a $3.29 million progressive on Ancient Fortunes: Zeus to a player who had staked just $0.10.
The win also arrived in a market that had just posted its strongest year. According to New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement figures, total gambling revenue in the state reached an all-time high of $6.98 billion in 2025, up 10.8% on 2024. Online casino revenue rose 22% to $2.91 billion, narrowly ahead of the $2.89 billion won by Atlantic City's brick-and-mortar casinos, the first time the internet segment finished on top. iGaming also delivered $581.9 million of the roughly $1.01 billion in gaming taxes the state collected over the year.
The year closed strongly as well. Online casinos took in $273.2 million in December 2025, up 19.8% year on year. Over the full year, FanDuel and its partner Golden Nugget led the state's online casino market with $655.5 million in revenue, followed by DraftKings with Resorts World at $569.8 million and BetMGM with Borgata at $376 million.
Digital momentum at Caesars
For Caesars, online play has become one of the brighter spots in the business. In its fourth-quarter 2025 results, published in February 2026, the company said Caesars Digital produced a record quarterly adjusted EBITDA of $85 million, against $20 million a year earlier. Full-year digital adjusted EBITDA reached $236 million, compared with $117 million in 2024, while group net revenue for 2025 came to $11.5 billion. Chief executive Tom Reeg said in the results release that the company was "expecting another year of strong net revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth in our Caesars Digital segment" in 2026.
The wider U.S. picture points the same way. The American Gaming Association reported that iGaming gross gaming revenue in the regulated states totalled $9.7 billion across the first 11 months of 2025, an increase of 28.3% on the same period of 2024. Real-money online casino games were legal in only seven states at the time: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia.
Players 21 and older can access Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino, and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino through iOS and Android apps or via desktop. The platforms operate in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ontario, and West Virginia.
