Slot studio Yggdrasil has stepped into the US commercial iGaming market for the first time, sealing an exclusive content partnership with Caesars Entertainment that puts its games live in Michigan and New Jersey.
Key takeaways
- Yggdrasil's first live presence in the US commercial iGaming market.
- Exclusive content deal with Caesars, live in Michigan and New Jersey.
- Games available via Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino.
- Valley of the Gods leads the launch; more titles to follow in the coming months.
- Aristocrat Interactive handled the technical integration into Caesars' platforms.
The agreement opens up Yggdrasil's catalogue across Caesars' online casino operations in both regulated states. Players can reach the supplier's content through Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, as well as Horseshoe Online Casino.
The technical integration that folded Yggdrasil's portfolio into Caesars' existing operations was handled by Aristocrat Interactive. The opening release brings Valley of the Gods to players in Michigan and New Jersey, with further titles from the studio lined up to arrive over the coming months.
The deal marks Yggdrasil's first active foothold in the US online casino sector and pushes its distribution into two well-established regulated iGaming markets.
Ricardo Cornejo Rivas, Vice President of Online Gaming at Caesars Digital, said in a press release that the addition backs the operator's drive to widen the range of games across its online casino brands.
"This partnership reinforces our commitment to bringing players fresh and entertaining gaming experiences across our online casino platforms. We're proud to introduce Yggdrasil's innovative content to players in Michigan and New Jersey and look forward to building a strong and successful partnership together."
— Ricardo Cornejo Rivas, VP of Online Gaming, Caesars Digital
Valley of the Gods leads the initial US release
Yggdrasil picked Valley of the Gods as the first title to go live through the Caesars tie-up. Originally launched in 2017, the Ancient Egypt-themed slot runs on a 5×5 grid, with gameplay built around multipliers and respins, plus extra lives and hidden treasure blocks among its features.
A long-standing fixture in Yggdrasil's line-up since its debut, the game now doubles as the studio's entry point into regulated US online casino play. More titles from the portfolio are expected to follow, though the companies have not laid out a detailed schedule of which games come next or when.
Aurora Armaro, Head of Region LATAM & USA at Yggdrasil, framed the launch as a significant step in the supplier's North American plans.
"Launching our first game in the United States with one of the industry's strongest operators represents a major milestone for Yggdrasil. We see this partnership as the first of many opportunities to bring premium content to players across the North American market."
— Aurora Armaro, Head of Region LATAM & USA, Yggdrasil
Earlier deals laid the groundwork for US entry
Yggdrasil had signalled its appetite for North America well before completing this first commercial US launch. In November 2021 the studio struck a content distribution agreement with IGT, giving IGT the ability to distribute Yggdrasil's online slot content across the United States and Canada.
The company then broadened its reach elsewhere in the Americas. In 2022 it landed a deal with Rush Street Interactive in Colombia, putting Yggdrasil slots on RSI's RushBet platform. The new Caesars agreement now carries the supplier into active regulated online casino operations in Michigan and New Jersey — its first direct presence in the US commercial iGaming market.
The partnership also hands Yggdrasil distribution across multiple Caesars-run platforms from day one of its US rollout. Because Caesars keeps separate online casino brands in both states, the supplier's games can reach customers through more than one operator-facing product.
More Yggdrasil games planned for Caesars platforms
The two companies intend to grow the available Yggdrasil portfolio beyond Valley of the Gods over the months ahead, with Aristocrat Interactive continuing to support integration as additional games come online.
For Caesars, the deal adds another supplier to its content offering in Michigan and New Jersey. For Yggdrasil, it converts earlier North American distribution efforts into a live US market presence. The studio has not announced any expansion into further US states as part of the agreement — its initial launch stays focused on Michigan and New Jersey, where Caesars operates all three online casino platforms covered by the partnership.
